Using the NLP Meta Model with Clients

This one day interactive Master Class teaches you how to use the NLP Meta Model to quickly uncover the source of your client’s problem and helps your client connect with their inner resources to resolve this.

Clients rely on language to share their problems with the hypnotherapist. The sentences they form are usually not conscious. Which means, clients are often creating limiting beliefs by distorting, deleting and generalising their perception of the situation they are presenting.

The NLP Meta Model, is a highly effective model for retrieving the information that has been distorted, deleted and generalised and helping both the client and hypnotherapist gain a far clearer picture of the reality of that situation.

The true power of the Meta Model is creating conversational change by involving your client in recovering their deep structure. The next step is to challenge that deep structure in such a way to enrich your clients ‘Map of the World’ and create more choices for your client.

History of the Meta Model

The NLP Meta Model was discovered in the early 1970’s when John Grinder offered to assist Richard Bandler and Frank Pucelik in providing a ‘code’ for the work they were doing with unconscious assimilation of the work of Fritz Perls (the founder of Gestalt Therapy). Grinder insisted on learning ‘how’ Perls was getting his results rather than ‘what’ he was doing.

Grinder and Bandler went to work on creating a code.  Those who have studied NLP, will be aware that Grinder, Bandler and Pucelik continued their modelling work with Virginia Satir, noted an overlap with Fritz Perls and created NLP’s first model ‘The Meta Model’ This was originally published in the Structure of Magic Volume 1.

Master Class Outline

In this Master Class you will have plenty of time to experience using the 11 Language Patterns of the NLP Meta Model. Each language pattern has a series of challenges or questions which, when answered by the client, forces the client to expand or modify the limitations of their mental maps. This helps to access their inner resources, providing the client with more choices and possible solutions.
